Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy

I'm sure everyone who knows me has heard me raving about this game.
But do you know what it is really about?

It is the prequel to 2008's game, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, which has often been stated as the 'Greatest PSP game of all time'. The 012 is pronounced as 'Duodecim', with a hard 'c' instead of an 's'.

Moving away from that, Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy is an entirely new game. The gameplay at it's most basic level has been adjusted.
If anyone has played the original Dissidia, they would know that the battle system was pretty much driven by getting into EX mode, especially with Gabranth. That is no longer true in Dissidia O12.
There is the Assist system, which can override the EX system, but is not as useful or powerful, as the EX system gets a boost with 'EX Revenge'.

Also, Dissidia 012 has an entire new soundtrack, with the old ones and some new remixes, such as this epic remix of J-E-N-O-V-A, are now included, along with character-specific map themes.

Within story mode, instead of the board system within the original, it is a map loosely based on the map of Final Fantasy. You can travel around it, moving around in a lenient matter, but be vigilant; it is easy to get into a battle with Mannekins.

The game's new plot focuses around several characters:
Kain Highwind(FFIV), Tifa Lockheart(FFVII), Laguna Loire(FFVIII), Yuna(FFX), Vaan(FFXII), Lighting(FFXIII), and a few older characters, specifically the Warrior of Light, Exdeath, and Jecht.

There are also three secret playable characters, all of which are non-playable in story mode, but purchasable after a few prerequisites are met.
They are Gilgamesh(FFV), Prishe(FFXI), and a new creature based upon Chaos, the god of Discord within Dissidia, named Feral Chaos.
Out of all three, Feral Chaos is the most difficult to unlock/play as.

I don't know about anyone who's reading this, but I'm pretty excited. Mostly because this means I get to play as Gilgamesh and Laguna. But I think we can all agree that this game could be better without Lightning.
